I hear a lot of people make statements that go something like, Theres a lot of confusion surrounding the doctrine of ________ lately. Let me explain it to you... What they mean is, The church has been debating this issue for 2,000 years, and the wisest of councils, theologians and scholars have been unable to reach an agreement upon it. Im just now hearing of it, though, and so will now restate my narrow view in a 10 minute YouTube video and end 2,000 years worth of debate. Sarcasm intended. Ladies and gentlemen, there are somethings we will never agree upon, and debating, disagreeing and discussing is good, healthy and important. But let us not be so prideful as to think that we can wave our hands and dismiss 2,000 years worth of discussion and debate like that. Lets be humble enough to know that we dont have all of the answers, and that thats ok. Dont set yourself up as an expert in a field youve barely even stepped onto. The Kingdom is vast, and no man is an expert in its ways.
