I hear alot of objections to the new Noah movie, I am planning on - TopicsExpress

I hear alot of objections to the new Noah movie, I am planning on seeing it so I can have my own take on it (rather than a reviewer) but here are my thoughts on a few of the objections. 1. The word God is not in the movie - They refer to God as the Creator 2. Noah is troubled, the movie is too dark - I would expect the end of the known world to be both dark and troubling 3. The director called it the least biblical, biblical movie ever - When you read his statements more in depth, he is stating that he is shunning away from the traditional white-haired friendly grandfathery childhood picture-bible version of the story. He actually is quoted as saying I had no problem completely honoring and respecting everything in the Bible and accepting it as truth. People are getting mad that it depicts Noah getting drunk, but dont even realize that it is right there in the Bible. 4. Noah is instructed through hallucinatory-like troubling visions - Is that so different from how John wrote the book of Revelations? 5. The movie looks like a fantasy story - well, if you take the OT literally, there are quite a bit of fantastical things, especially when you consider the apocripha. 6. The director is an atheist - This is an objection that I have, however, I will have to see the movie for myself to determine the extent of my feelings about this. I do feel that that is a bad move for making a Biblical movie, BUT, the director didnt have sole creative discretion in creating the film, and the nontraditional approach may make for some excellent filmmaking. In any amount, Im very curious as to what Noah will be like, and I would actually like to form my unique, individual opinion rather than parrot the blog posts of angry readers selectively extrapolating parts of one persons opinionated review.
