I hear many people complaining about the USDA loosening its grip - TopicsExpress

I hear many people complaining about the USDA loosening its grip on the meat industry and allowing their employees to conduct their own inspections. Well, heres what I have to say about that: grow up. You dont need a babysitter. The people that believe that the federal government needs to protect our safety are the people that have made this country reliable on the government. Newsflash! Its not the governments responsibility to babysit you! Deregulation is a GOOD thing! It means that instead of buying meat from somewhere that you dont know where its coming from, or whats in it, or what it even is, you actually have to take responsibility for your actions! Whoooooa! Marvel concept! It means that the money can now work its way back to where it belongs: in your local communities! Instead of going to some corporate grocery chain and buying items you know nothing about, it puts the responsibility on you and allows you to buy your products local. This means the money stays in your community. This means the farmers actually make a living. It also opens the door for more professions and mom and pop stores. Holding the government accountable starts at your own front door; by holding yourself accountable and making responsible decisions. Scientific experiments have concluded that hovering over children is detrimental to their personality and learning growth. This is a well known fact (I wonder why they had to do the experiment to begin with). So, if we know this, then why would we want the government hovering over us? So, stop complaining that the government is lessening its grip. Its the BEST thing for this nation! They should do it with ALL industries!
