I hear so much talk, debate, and harsh words flying around about whats wrong with this country, our economy, our politics. My husband and I both work, and there is only one thing that is a crushing blow to OUR personal economy - We pay $2,060 per month to Wells Fargo for our mortgage. $213 goes toward the loan, the other $1,847 goes straight to Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo does not do anything other make more money for itself with that money. When we bought the house, the bank assured us that after one year we could refinance for a lower and reasonable interest rate. After that year, guess what? Our house was under water and they wouldnt refinance. That was 6 years ago. And with $213 per month going toward the loan, how long do you think it will take us to get above water? We gave Wells Fargo almost $25,000 last year just for finance charges. We did not give even close to that amount to our government, who at least uses our money to provide services. The government isnt the one making it financially difficult for us to fly down and see our daughter get married, or for me to fly home and take care of my elderly mother. Sorry, Im venting, but I see red every time I work on our finances...
