I heard Steve Harvey on the radio while I was heading to the airport this morning. He was coaching a young man on air and he said something that resonated with me and I had to re-visit it a few moments ago. He said that his success is a result of mastering his natural ability and then putting himself into opportunities that required him to seek God about how to do something he wasnt familiar with. He mastered being a comedian. He said he combined his natural ability with Gods supernatural power and his success went through the roof. He also said that he asked God for what he wanted. Really asked. In faith and believing. All of that is speaking to me right now. I will be on the stage tomorrow sharing with incarcerated women. Telling my story of being a gun shot victim as a child. Yes, I have spoken many many times before but this right here...its one of those mixing my natural with His super and watching Him work. Me? Oh Im a vessel. They wont see me. They will see His glory. Please pray for ya girl on Friday. I am living a dream and walking in a space that many people of my profession long for.
