I heard a man say, Sometimes in life we have face major setbacks such as health issues, financial issues, emotional struggles, or the loss of a job. When these setbacks occur we can feel vulnerable, scared, and even angry. When I suddenly lost my job and had no form of income for my family of four and all the bills kept coming in, I experienced a range of emotions. I was scared, uncertain, angry, and bitter. I wonder if the people who lived in the time of Jesus and witnessed his death felt similar emotions. I wonder if they actually thought he would rise again in 3 days. Perhaps 1 lesson the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Christ illustrates is how monumental setback can initiate a monumental comeback. I realize that the Spirit given to us following the most amazing comeback in history also lives in us as believers and is interceding on our behalf. God who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through His Spirit that dwells in you. Romans 8:11
