I hesitate to share this, because it reveals a depth of my insanity. But, it is fun Friday, so I share this in the name of giving a smile.. This morning I was talking to my mom, and as I do, walking around outside (honestly who sits still while talking on the phone). Anyhow, as I chatter away and watch the dog play, what should i come across in my sandal clad feet but the horror of all horrors, archenemy of Southern women everywhere.. A SNAKE!!!!! Commence the screaming, jumping fit! Yoda come here baby!! Mama I just almost stepped on a snake!! -go running into the house screaming at the man who was just in the ER last night- HUSBAND!!! I need you right now!! There is a snake in the driveway!! Come quick!! Mother Ill call you back!! Husband now!! Wait my Texas daddy taught me what to do with a pair of cowboy boots let me get them!!! So as I go running down the hall to get my boots my husband slips on some shoes and mosies out of the house to find the offender. Now picture if you will, me, Toedy, the insane. Running back out of the house, bandana in my hair, cowboy boots to my knees, the hem of my maxi dress pulled up and nearly tied around my neck running full force out of the house. To my husband. Standing there calmly. No action going on. Just standing there. And giving me an incredulous look. What? Baby, this snake is tiny. So!! And its dead. Like already. I probably ran over it with the truck. There were more screams, heebie jeebie dancing, and I did manage to still use the boots and get the vicious little snakelet off the driveway. All while the husband stood trying not to laugh at the crazy woman in her boots and dress tied around her neck. Ultimately, I guess I would just like to say youre welcome to the citizens of Booneville. If laughter doeth good as a medicine, I probably added a couple of years to your life with this display. -TK Like & share to increase my page :) :)
