I hope everyone had a great Holiday break. The best part of coming back from the Holidays is that we are closer to opening day. 51 days and counting. This week we will all get our legs back under us, get our new class schedules, and start getting up and going to bed at reasonable hours. Next Monday, Jan 12 we will continue camp, or OTAs (optional team activities). I will be out on the field if anyone want to hit or throw on their own this week, we will not be conducting any team activities though until Monday. We need to start working on clearance packets now, dont wait until the week of tryouts. The little clinic at Frys on MC 85 and Avondale Blvd. can get you in and out in about 30 min and I believe the cost varies from $30-$50 for physicals. Athletic packets can be obtained from the athletic office. You will not be permitted on the field with out clearance from the athletic office. Take care of your business in the classroom anyone with Fs on their report card will not be permitted to try out on Feb.9th. I was out at the field today, cutting the infield. I have attached a pic of what that looks like on Jan 4. There are a lot of places that would love to be able to be out on the field in Jan. Dont waste a day, dont worry we wont allow you to waste any days.
