I hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day, we are! We have had a visit from the Marines today, our first soldier is coming up to stay in 2 weeks. They (Marines) have rented a house locally for him and future soldiers to stay in when they are here. I CANT wait! Our new soldier will work with us, he is a farm boy that hates being cooped up in a barracks, he loves animals, perfect for us. Our barn project should start the middle of June, the horse stalls are first. We just cant let beautiful animals die for stupid reasons, like being older. We are the only ACTIVE livestock rescue around, someone needs to help these babies live out their life as they should. We dont ever want to have to turn anyone away.
