I hope everyones enjoying the Holiday season, and I know a few of you have heard this from me before but I think it’s worth repeating. It’s especially fitting at this time of year when it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters in life. Arthur Ashe, the ex- tennis pro, was once interviewed, and he said something pretty profound. He said that when he found out he was dying of AIDS, he dropped down on his knees crying, asking the Lord why me, why me? Then he thought back on his wonderful life, his children and all the blessings he has had in his life. He got back to his feet with a great smile on his face and asked the Lord why me? What have I done to deserve all the gifts you have blessed me with in my life? Ive always thought that story puts life in its proper perspective. So, what have I done to deserve my wonderful friends and family? Well, 2014 has gone by and I still havent figured that out yet. But Im humbled and blessed to have had such a solid family growing up with a mother and father who worked tirelessly but never forgot to laugh, brothers and a sister who all love each other, a beautiful wife and kids who have made my life richer and friends to share all those good times with... Whatever Holiday you and your family celebrate, I hope youve had a happy holiday and a happy, healthy new year!
