I hope its ok I start a thread here. Alot of random thoughts in my brain and tough to put them all together, but I will give it my best shot: There are different groups of people Id classify like this and why: 1)Skeptics question why they need to go to church and question Scripture 2)Seekers are those who test the waters, who have open minds trying to find meaning of Scriptures, start going to church because someone invited them 3)Shakers are like truth or dare, dare to test a belief and see our response to them 4)Sharers who shepherd new visitors even new Christians in their walks with the Lord, 5)Stabilizers mentor the sharers (like Paul shepherded Timothy, Jesus shepherded his disciples and apostles, Moses shepherd Joshua, Caleb and Joshua being two good spies who delivered Israel, etc) and encourage people in all stages to search what their spiritual gifts are, how to use them to edify the church (Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 12) How do you prevent burnout? Even sharers and stabilizers get burned out. How do you reach each of those groups? How would a skeptic become seeker? I would think different methods would be used to reach different groups/brands: by brands I mean it be one way to reach loyal faithful attenders and loyal in their walks to become stronger in their walks, and another to reach the homeless and welcoming them in the church, and another to reach skeptics and seekers. All groups describe above would have prayer needs and how to pray for them would be different too. Feedback please........
