I hope this is okay to post, we just had a holiday from hell over the weekend, went down to see our son who is in the Navy and while spending the night in Stockton, CA, our catalytic converter was stolen off of our truck (2012 one ton dodge diesel). I guess this is pretty common, especially in Stockton, but also other areas as well, most if not all horse people drive trucks, so please, please secure your cat converters and be vigilant over where you go/park, etc. Please share as I personally had never heard of such a thing, but I guess the thieves can steal them in less than a minute and will even do so in broad daylight, shopping malls, etc. Cost me 1200.00 bucks to rent a U-haul to tow my truck home. Cost to repair, between 3 and 4 thousand bucks.
