I hope you will read my longer than usual post & would love your response. No, I am not irritated, annoyed or angry ... Im hungry to hear from God. 2Ki 22:18“ ‘This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the message you have just heard:You were sorry and humbled yourself before the LORD when you heard what I said against this city and its people—that this land would be cursed and become desolate. You tore your clothing in despair and wept before me in repentance. And I have indeed heard you, says the LORD. Im curious as to what we moderns think about an ancient text like this. Is this an outdated response to the conditions of our world? Is the suggestion of repentance insulting? Im honestly curious. It feels to me that most prayer meetings I call us to are judged by how well we organized it for comfort & flow, that theres very little passion. . Feel free to tell me Im wrong. Again I am not upset at any of you, Im looking for direction because I KNOW Im part of the problem.
