I hope you will take the time and read....Im not a good writer..Im not a pastor, the perfect Christian nor do I claim to be. Im just a work in progress, struggling along like we all do...trying to do better..whats right and hopefully help others along the way. No Need to Search Any Farther Reading scripture, personal devotions and just reflecting on my life this morning...thinking of all the mistakes that I have made over the years and also about the many many things God has blessed me with, in spite of all my mistakes. Its has taken me 40 plus years to realize...that in all the time and effort of my searching for my own selfish wants...career and financial goals, friendships, family, etc. and just plain good ole happiness...I mostly went about it all the wrong way. I tried figuring things out for myself without the instructions that God has given all of us to follow..convincing myself that some of my wrongs were right...twisting things all around to make things fit the way I felt that I needed for them to. I could go into more details and write on and on all day, but Im going to stop right here and try to make my point. If we want to be happy and satisfied in life, knowing that we are making the right choices and decisions, its really a lot easier than you think. It is so much easier than most of us are making it on ourselves. God has given us an instruction book for life and like most instructions that we are given with things we should use them for...we choose not to read them...we toss them to the side...put them in the drawer or even throw them away. When all we needed to do was to open them up...read and follow. The same goes for our Bible! Now.............. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. - Psalm 62:8 God is trustworthy, but we don’t always know His mind, His reasons, or His ultimate intentions. We’re prone to misinterpreting His actions in our lives. We may find it hard to place faith in God if we’re convinced that He’s let us down. Friends, our problem with trusting God doesn’t stem from His untrustworthiness. It stems from our willful, misplaced determination to stand as judges over God Himself—determining right from wrong, good from bad, and better from best. Yet one thing remains certain: You can trust God infinitely more than you trust yourself. So surrender to His wisdom, love, and mercy, and stop demanding that He act as we see fit.
