I just came across a very interesting discussion on FB where someone pointed out a prophesy of JC that I had not heard before and wanted to put this out there for anyone else who might see this and wonder how to respond.... Mica 5:2 says But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from old from everlasting (KJV) or from ancient times (many other versions). My response: Jeremiah 30:9 “But they will serve YHVH their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.” Ezekiel 34: 23-24 “And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. And I YHVH will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I YHVH have spoken it.” Ezekiel 37:24 “And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.” Psalms 71: 20 “thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.” (This is David speaking) Hosea 3:4-5 “... for the children of Israel shall abide many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, without ephod or teraphim. Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek YHVH their God, and David their King, and shall fear YHVH and his goodness in the latter days.” Psalm 16:9, 10 “Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine holy one to see corruption.” (This is David speaking) II Samuel 6:12-15 “And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of the bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever, I will be his father, and he shall be my son. I f he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the strips of the children of men: but my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.”
