I just cant get enough of the seasonal smells in the kitchen. Today while prepping a salt rub to start the first phase of Duck Confit. I toasted juniper,coriander, cumin, garlic, bay leaf, chili flakes and ground them while still warm, the aroma was intoxicating. In the oven ....acorn squash with ginger, allspice, nutmeg, brown sugar and cinnamon. And, when its time to relax..a cuppa hot apple cider (real unfiltered Jersey Fresh stuff) spiked with Jager, oh baby thats friggin good.
