I just found a Facebook message I wrote to Robin Williams two years ago. Mr. Williams, My name is Manny Villanueva, Im 23 years old, and live in Austin, Texas. I would like to take an opportunity to thank you. To thank you for your work on the movie Mrs. Doubtfire. I know it has been a while since this movie was out, but it keeps a very special place in my heart. Right around the time this movie was released on home video, my mother bought it for us. I didnt know it at the time, but I think she bought it because she divorced my dad when I was only 2. So I think she wanted us to see something dealing with the issue of divorce. I occasionally watched this along my life, here and there. But it was just yesterday that, after watching it again on DVD, I realized something; This movie had made a profound impact upon my life. It helped me realize Ive wanted two things the most out of my life, to have my family love me as much as your character Daniel loved his, and to work as a filmmaker, more specifically, in the area of drama on television, just as Daniel wanted to bring people joy through entertainment, and as you, Robin Williams, bring people joy through your work in film and television. I know that you, in your own life, love your family very much. I just watched a Nintendo promo that showed you and your daughter together playing Ocarina of Time. Watching you two together fills my heart with joy and the hope that someday I can love my children as much as you love yours. I remember being young and telling myself, When you get older, love your children as much as Robin Williams does in Mrs. Doubtfire. So, again, I must thank you for your powerful performance, and really being an inspiration to me for many many years. God bless you and your family, and as well as your career. Very and Utterly Sincerely, Manny Villanueva
