I just gave away $2500 tonight and it feels freaking fantastic!!! It seems very surreal to give away that amount when we have a current account balance of $57! But you cant put a price on this feeling. If you havent already seen the link below, we entered the Kiwibank We All Need Dough competition and won $50000 worth of Air NZ vouchers!!! Wooo-flippen-whoooo!!! Have been bursting with excitement all week but kept it quiet so I could visit a special family in person tonight to give them the good news. This family I met a few weeks ago after their 3yr old suddenly passed away. I had the honour of creating stone casts of his perfect hands and feet. (For those of you new to Preggy Pukus we also have a page called Angel Casts where our service is completely free for parents who lose their little one). His mum and dad were so welcoming and open with me, and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. They touched me so much that I wanted to give them more than just casts. So I entered this competition with them in mind and Aaron and I decided if we won we would split the prize with them. And Kiwibank were so touched at the idea of us splitting the prize that they have also kindly offered to gift the family an additional $500 pressy card! So tonight I got to present them with their beautiful casts and share the good news. Their reaction was all worth it. I was picked up and spun around the dining room! There were tears and laughter, and Im just so delighted that it meant so much to them.
