I just got back from dropping off my son Junjun at De Montfort University in Leicester and feel bereft. This young man has been my rock for a number of years now, and his leaving home for the first time has rendered a big blow to my heart. I have mixed feelings about his leaving, a feeling of joy that at long last it has happened and he is embarking on a journey that would change his life forever; a feeling of thanksgiving to God Almighty that he made it possible and a feeling of loss that he has left my loving and protective care. I pray to you God Almighty to protect and guide him where he is. Remove all obstacles that would hinder his progress and any temptations that would derail him. I pray that he be focused and embrace his studies in a determined manner that would make him excel. Flavien, my little Rock, I already miss you. I will not have somebody to run my little errands and watch over his little brother for the next few months. May God Almighty be with you on your new journey in Jesus name!!!!
