I just got off the phone with a Comcast customer service rep. She was helpful. I asked her how exactly, she learned to cover up about 85% of her native accent. I also asked her what her superior or hiring personnel told her when asking her to do that: So, the funny thing about Americans, is that they will judge our business practices if they know we are hiring people from outside their country to do this job at the obviously discounted price we are paying you to do it. So if you wouldnt mind, you know... to save us the publicity hardships and allow us to get a big break in our payroll costs... Would you learn how to speak with an American accent? I then proceeded to ask her if she knows how much distain the American public has for the Company, and lack of anti trust laws bring imposed to keep options in the market place. I didnt get an real answers. But she did ask me if I know and love the savior Jesus Christ. So that was nice.
