I just had a funny flash: that Ive been working on maths in the entirely opposite direction to its actual historical development (or a students development for that matter), but in the correct direction conceptually speaking: first studied set theory (at postgraduate level), then the real number system (again at postgraduate level) and finally calculus (which Ive now studied at undergraduate level). If only my name could have been Euler... :-D
