I just had a girl, my age, complain to me that her boyfriend wants to spend way to much time together. She said, and I quote, He wants to do all this stuff together! Like go to the beach, make dinner, watch movies, go skydiving, and a day at Disney. Its ridiculous! I mean I like him and all but seeing each other multiple times a week is crazy! Let me live my life! I simply smiled and said hmm, I see. But THIS is what went through my head- 1) This cannot be happening. I cannot believe hearing this right now. 2) he sounds like a great guy! How and why did he choose you?! 3) how is he STILL with you? 4)You are so glad I love Jesus because my boyfriend lives 21 hrs away and phone calls abd Skype are all we get to spend time together. Id give almost anything to be able to see him multiple times a week! But thats not the season were in, and we get that. So every single day I have to choose joy instead of frustration and anger for NOT going to movies, or walking on the beach. No making dinner together or spending the day at Disney..... What a reality check. Blessed from 21 hrs away is STILL blessed. And if being that far apart is to teach me to never take him, our what God has given us for granted, let it be.
