I just had a visit from a bat. It crept in through the bathroom window and flew leisurely about the house. I retreated to my bedroom and closed the door to think of how to get rid of it. The solution was to grab a stick and swing it quickly at the bat and back toward me while shouting. The noise kept it back until I could get close enough to whack him out of the air. I skewered it and placed it in plastic bags to go in the trash. That was fun.
