I just had an experience that renewed my faith in humanity, so I am compelled to share: Yesterday after running around doing my errands, which included going to the bank and withdrawing a sum of cash, I went to a grocery store and purchased a few groceries. Just for the record, the grocery store is located in a low income section of Los Angeles with an African American and Hispanic demographic. I left the store and upon getting across town I realized my wallet was missing. I cannot tell you the distress I felt when I realized Id inadvertently left my wallet in that store, after completing my purchase. You see, my wallet contained two Visa credit cards, a MC, my driver license, AAA card, Kaiser card and the significant sum of cash I had withdrawn from the bank only hours earlier. So what did I do? I proceeded to call and cancel my credit cards and reported them lost. I figured the best I could do is save myself from being a victim of identify theft and have new cards issued. I wrote off the cash as just gone. Today, more than 24 hrs later I decided to call the store to see if by some miracle someone had turned in any portion of my wallet or its contents. To my surprise, someone had in fact turned in my wallet. I went to pick it up and everything was there, even the cash!!!! I stood there in the store in disbelief with tears welling up in my eyes, as I checked and saw that everything was there in my wallet, everything!!!! I thanked the manager profusely and complimented her on the honesty and integrity of the store personnel. I gave my contact information so that I could thank the person who so kindly turned in my wallet. Somebody is gonna get a reward!!! #sohappy #PraiseReport #kindnessinthecommunity #ILoveUS #KeeptheFAITH
