I just had to share the email I just got in response to a request to recycle my laser jet cartridges!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Customer, As a business and in accordance with the Duty of Care legislation, you need to ensure that any waste you produce is handled safely and within the law. This applies to your participation in the HP Planet Partners programme, our printing supplies return and recycling programme To make things easier and more convenient for you we have prepared your Waste Transfer Note (WTN). It is a season ticket, an annual WTN valid for 12 months which covers multiple collections from your site during this period. You will need to complete and return the annual WTN by following the instructions below: 1. Enter in Section A.4 the number of boxes you estimate will be transferred in the 12 month period identified in Section E.2 (a record of all collections initiated by you will be sent to the email address used during the registration process, after completion of the 12 month period). 2. Confirm that you have fulfilled your duty to apply the waste hierarchy by marking “yes” by ticking the box at the beginning of Section B. 3. Enter your UK Standard Industrial Classification Code 2007 (SIC 2007) in Section B.2 - please refer to your company secretary for further details on your Standard Industrial Classification (SIC 2007). 4. Print 3 copies of the annual WTN. 5. Sign all 3 copies where indicated in Section E. 6. Keep 1 copy for your own records. 7. Mail the other 2 copies to the following address: TNT Express Unit 10 Northfield Drive Northfield Milton Keynes MK15 0DQ 8. TNT Express will return one countersigned copy back to you. The copy will be returned electronically to the same e-mail address as this mail. Please print this countersigned copy and retain for at least two years.
