I just had what I consider to be an interesting and insightful experience; I went to Walmart on my break to grab something and gave the clerk a ten dollar bill to pay for the items. She gave me change as if I had given her a twenty. I told her the mistake and she said “no you gave me a twenty”. I insisted, she opened the draw and realized her mistake so we exchanged the correct change. Not a big deal, I KNOW that 99% of my Facebook friends would do the same without hesitation; so no bragging there. What made me ruminate were my own thoughts, I hesitated before saying something for half a heartbeat; then we she tried to contradict it, once again, for just a moment; I thought how nice the extra ten dollars would be Lol… Geez, human nature, ‘at least mine Lol’ is such that even an honest man who tries to do the right things most times is tempted to do wrong! What chance exists for humanity when someone doesn’t possess scruples??? I need more meditation practice and mindful thinking picturing these types of situations… Just a thought for today, enjoy the day!!!!
