I just have to post my experience today at Md Anderson. Saw one doctor and then another. Had lunch. Then off for appt three. They called me back from where I was sitting in the waiting room and said you need an ultrasound now. I finally got in and it was pretty routine but then she called in a doctor. The doctor asked who put in my drain tubes. Long story short. He was certain they left something inside me where I have been complaining of pain and swelling since the day after the surgery. Two hours and two surgeons visits later, it was deternined that the Md that was called could not see the whole picture. I was sooo upset and cried for two hours. Now at 5:40 pm I am on the seventh floor prepping for a CT scan of chest, abdomen and pelvic areas to see if the cancer has spread anywhere else. They told me today that my tumor was 8 cm long. My breast wasnt that big! I am exhausted and I am still not done. Roger is asleep in a recliner chair in the waiting room and I need a glass of wine reallllllly bad. 6:37 now. They havent called me back yet. We are going to have a longggg longggggg drive home. We did not prepare for an overnight stay. We will always be prepared from now on. GOD please hear my prayer for a safe drive home and good results from this scan. Amen.
