I just heard a very disturbing thing, I was just told by Tylers case manager at hillside that Easter Seals is now charging medicade childrens parents a 2500 dollar up front fee to diagnose their children if they require an ados for autism diagnosis. What they said that their psychiatrist dont get enough of a reimbursement from medicade so they are making parents pay up front. What. First of all you are a nonprofit organization that receives most of your funding from the public and federal donations so how can you justify charging someone that already cant afford to pay that enormous fee. Thank God Tyler has already had his done and now I have lost all faith in this organization. And before anyone says that these parents need to get a job most of them do and are working making minimum wages to support their families.
