I just heard that air strikes have begun over Syria. My heart bleeds. Besides positive vibes, love and prayers, something that warm-hearted people in Vancouver who are hungry for dinner could do this week is go to AL Basha amazing falafel on West Broadway in Kits... They are from Syria, and have their place open 24hrs right now as they work round the clock to try and support family and refugees back home who werent so lucky to make it here the way they did. I was in there getting the beyond-superb combo platter and the hard-working, tough-looking grown man began to cry when I asked him and his workers about the situation back in their homeland...I think its some small gesture. that is the kind thing. the measure of suffering they are directly related to is beyond my personal comprehension. but, If you want to eat, go have some falafel at AL Basha in Kitsilano. Its also SUCH good falafel.
