I just joined this group the other day. Ive never fermented anything but it is high on my bucket list. However I am starting to wonder if joining was a smart move, every day this group presents so many awesome ideas that I am awash in the possibilities! I want to start with kraut, I love it, figure it is simple and already have a head of cabbage and a food grade bucket. :-) So.. 3 tablespoons salt for 5 pounds of cabbage?
