I just learned I am NOT a good patient! Spent 7 hours at the Mercy ER due to these stupid chest pains...I saw the DR less than 5 minutes total and six different people coming in to my room who had no idea what had been done previous. The guy who discharged me said to continue my prednisone and if the condition worsens return. I said, Im not on prednisone. He looked confused and said its on your chart. I said, that was from July 2011 for poison ivy. That cleared. He looked sheepish and said he wants you to add an 81mg aspirin. I thanked him and left. Our automation has cookie-cuttered until there is no real thinking anymore. He wanted me to sign that the dr reviewed the PVCs and heart rate as well. I said, but he didnt. He looked uncomfortable and said, well I told you... Really??? Blown away!
