I just learned today that bluesman and music colleague Jamie Powell has passed. Jamie has been a bright spot since the day we met just a few years ago. Like many others of his circumstance, he always said Im just a country boy with great humility and honesty and then Thank you for letting me.... He did our Central Avenue Jazz Festival a few times and the crowd always appreciated his wicked humor about life. Listen to the lyrics. To Jamie, I say thank you for you, I really will miss you.
