I just left the store and drove past so many folks enslaved by addiction. I can pretend that graduating college or accomplishing what I accomplish is all on me and my family but here are some other truths : I never walked passed people using crack as I went to school. I never in my entire life have been recruited to sell my body or have felt small or in need enough to do it . I have never been starving with no food or money in the house and It wasnt until I moved into an almost non white community at age 22 that I ever really felt judged for my race - and even then it wasnt in a way that limited my opportunities. Its just so important to stay humble & to walk in compassion & grace. Its so important to understand how blessed you are along with what struggles others face . Judging others might be easier, but praying for them might be a whole lot more effective.
