I just love it when somebody makes a statement on a thread about the minimum wage as though they know first-hand about pulling oneself up by the bootstraps. They go on about how hard they worked to get where they are and earn the high salary they do simply through hard work and perseverance, before launching an attack against minimum wage workers, painting them all with the same broad, ugly brush. Then they imply that if only the slothful minimum wage worker had worked hard enough or persevered enough he or she would be as affluent and successful as the poster is. You glance at their facebook profile and discover that they attended prestigious, expensive private schools before attending college and graduate school. And these people really think they have a clue. For pitys sake!
