I just love trips to Wally World, and today was great fun. Even fewer checkouts available than usual, and a few too many items for the express lane. I was the third in line, but the first two had full carts. After going through an entire magazine (if theyre going to make me wait they can provide a distraction) the first woman finally left and the one ahead of me started filling up the conveyor belt. I waited for her to finish and finally had to ask if she wanted to finish putting her items up before I started with mine, and she said, Oh, I always wait to put the price check items up last. What? This woman, who was sporting seriously colored and styled hair, very nice clothes, manicure, and major jewelry including three diamond rings, proceeded to put several gallons of milk, a sack of potatoes, three avacados, two pints of strawberries, and several other items on the conveyor. She then whipped out sales ads from Aldis, Marcs, and Giant Eagle and proceeded to inform the clerk what the prices should be in order to match the other stores. I was so floored I was speechless. Something didnt jive with the strawberry prices so she told the clerk to keep them! By the time she wasted all that time to save a buck or so I was ready to chew nails. Of course, when I went out to the parking lot she was parked right next to me, in her Lexus. At that point all I could do was laugh! I loudly apologized to Dobi Brink, who was patiently waiting for me, by saying, Im sorry it took me so long, but a rude lady held up the entire line to save a buck. and I felt much better.
