I just posted this elsewhere, but what the hell.... It was in reply to a meme that asked how a person could become an illegal alien and take advantage of all those benefits. Ill put it here, too.... Interesting.... Illegal aliens seem to be the new welfare queens. Heres a suggestion: go to Guatemala, live in an area that makes the South Bronx look like Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, hang around long enough that you get a good taste of the violence that goes on around you. Then, gather up all the stuff that you own or can carry (those might be one and the same) and walk the nearly 1000 miles to Texas. Youll endure all sorts of nastiness and dangerous situations on your journey, but hey, youre looking for adventure, right? If (remember, there are no guarantees on the trip) you get there, youll be met by a bunch of Teabagger yahoos who scream at you and threaten violence. Then youll be scooped up by federal officials, taken to a gym or some other big box, where, if youre fortunate, youll sleep on an army surplus cot until you get some sort of hearing to determine if youll stay or go. The food served during your visit will make you yearn for the worst shit youve ever eaten at an off-brand fast food joint. If you get bounced out of the country, youll head right back to the violence-ridden area you left, where youll get to do it all over again, assuming you arent shot to death first. Guatemala is a natural paradise that also happens to be the most violent country on the planet. that in itself is an amazing accomplishment, considering some of the unbelievably horrific shitholes that are out there. Think Somalia, only with a higher body count. By the way, youll also need a time machine, because I want you to be twelve years old while doing all this.
