I just realised its been almost two weeks since I posted! I guess the reason for that is that its been wonderful, and its been heartbreaking... a rollercoaster of emotions and feelings and frustrations. And joy and laughter and hope... Finleys pool is absolutely incredible. We are seeing changes in him that give us hope. As Ive explained before, Finley seems to come ALIVE in the water and hes spontaneous and takes risks. His eye contact is improving and hes requesting to go swimming using his ipad. The other benefit to having the pool, which I really did underestimate, is that on the very darkest of days it brings relief for all of us... the water is soothing and watching Finley and Alistair play and laugh brings a sense of calm for us as a family (even if only fleeting ;) ). Every single time we are in the water, my thoughts turn to the incredible generosity that made all this possible. I can never repay that generosity, but will pay it forward as I can.
