I just saw a comment on Facebook that was pertained directly towards me under my Miss Trinity USA Head shot for the Miss North Carolina USA Featured Contestant - Really sorry to say this but I hope She is beautiful on the INSIDE , Because she Is Definiately NOT Beautiful on the OUTSIDE ----- Just sayin. I am not offended by this in any way because people do have the right to their own opinion, but what I am appalled about is that the fact that this particular person went out of their way to say a negative spirited comment towards me. This particular form of bullying is called cyber-bullying. This type of bullying is used strictly over the internet and is a way to communicate hateful comments towards an individual or group of people in general. I am truly blessed of whom I have become and being able to share my story is truly gratifying because I am able to help and inspire others to never give up and to continue to follow their dreams. Bullying is no joke nor will be tolerated by me. This comment did not personally mentally harm me but I immediately thought about others, the victims that are being bullied currently especially over the internet. You can always take a positive out of a negative and turn it in to something powerful. This comment is an example of why us people need to bring awareness about bullying. How to handle this situation when being cyber-bullied over the internet, is that first and foremost do not give them the gratification by responding back to them directly, but DO report them to Facebook so that they can no longer contact you. Tell your parents or someone that you trust about the situation as well. If things do not lighten up by then please contact the police so that they can do a further investigation about the issue. My mission is to bring comfort to the victims and to shed light on how bullying affects someone physically and mentally. Help stop bullying today; make a difference; make a stance; be proactive in helping someone in the need.
