.. I just saw a posting about fracking and earthquakes .. and was reminded of a poem I wrote in 2009 .. I had not heard of fracking at that time. Here is that poem: TIME AND NOW Maybe its time for the world to stand still for the mountains to fall and the sun lose its glow. Maybe its now that the trees shed their leaves and the earth caves in on itself from below. Maybe its time that the birds and the bees and the flocks of geese forget how to fly. Maybe its now that the winds cease to blow so the smoke smog and dirt can darken the sky. Maybe its time for the seas and the lakes and the rivers and streams to spew forth their dead. Maybe its now that the oceans run dry and motherhood cries for babies to be fed. Maybe its time that mankind takes a look at the difference between the want and the need. Maybe its now that we offer a prayer to ask forgiveness for the envy and greed. Maybe its time that the world starts spinning in the other direction as creation dictated. Maybe its now for the weeds to be flowers instead of the things we were taught should be hated. Maybe its time to climb down from the high horse and walk side by side with our earthly brother. Maybe its now that race creed and colour be buried so deep they cannot be uncovered. Maybe its time we let the angels stand guard so everyone knows we are safe in this place. Maybe its now that we all sing the same song dance the same dance and run the same race. March 25, 2009
