MESSAGE OF THE CHIEF MINISTER ON EID-UL-AZHA The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has asked the people to remember the poor and destitute in their surroundings in joys of Eid. Similarly he said IDPs from FATA operations staying in KP need our utmost attention and assistance being our religious and national obligation on this auspicious occasion. In his message on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha, he said this big Eid is in-fact the day to reiterate for love with humanity and inculcate the spirit of sacrifice among the masses. He said this day gives us the feeling of seeking the blessing of Allah Almighty and sharing the grieves and sufferings of others with a spirit of sacrificing our own dear and near things for the purpose that, he said, is the real essence of humanity. Chief Minister said unfortunately the financial resources of our province are meager while we are faced with the big challenges of terrorism, poverty and unemployment as well as the step motherly and oblivious attitude of federal govt usurpation of rights, non-exploitation of our replete natural resources and prevalent backwardness that are the main reasons of our lagging behind in race of development. However he said PTI-led coalition govt was endeavoring to stop wastage of resources and provide corruption free society to the masses that would also contribute in ameliorating their lot and bringing about the change in the system. He said we also tried our best to provide relief to the IDPs though could not ensured 100% welfare and hospitality of the operation affectees of tribal agencies camped in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However he further said that there is no dearth of love and sincerity with them over here. The people and govt of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa besides trying for their comfortable stay here are praying for durable peace in FATA and their safe repatriation to homes. Pervez Khattak also assured people of the province that their PTI-led coalition govt was well aware of its duties. He reiterated that our steps would ushr in new era of progress and prosperity not only in KP but in the entire country and the region. He said cordial relations were being established with neighboring country Afghanistan and central Asians states to ensure durable peace and stability in the region. He said Azadi March of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf under the dynamic leadership is not against the persons but aimed at getting rid of the outdated system and status quo that he claimed has in-fact enslaved the tax-burdened masses. He said our success in this freedom movement would benefit the people from real fruits of democracy and we would get progress and prosperity by leaps and bounds. “We are at the verge of victory with overwhelming support of the masses”, he asserted. Chief Minister said that the measures taken by his govt are ensuring rule of merit and law in the province and people are feeling change, justice and transparency in all govt affairs. Similarly accountability and transparency are introduced in all govt affairs and working capacity of the govt machinery enhanced to provide relief to the poor in the real context. He asked the people from all walks of life to uphold the philosophy of Eid-ul-Azha and demonstrate the true spirit of sacrifice for humanity. “The prosperity, peace, development and national integrity should be at the back of our minds while going for Eid-ul-Azha celebrations”, he recalled. He said it was need of the hour to promote mutual love and brotherhood in our ranks. “By doing so, we will prove ourselves that we are a living nation”, he added. Pervez Khattak said we are at the critical juncture of our history. Therefore national cohesion and solidarity are more needed today than before. We must stand as a cohesive force to deal with internal and external threats. He said that our people are drawing new lines of sacrifices in the region not only for one another but for entire Muslim fraternity and human. We have to be united and should not be divided on different lines while our unity would lead us to durable peace not only in our country but in the entire region. The Chief Minister said that Eid-ul-Azha taught us the lessons of sacrifice, sympathy and brotherhood with each other. “Since the present atmosphere of the country required mutual unity, fraternity and dedication to sacrifice for welfare of our brothers, therefore, we should start thinking above political affiliations”, he exclaimed. He while giving Eid greetings to the Overseas Pakistanis especially Hajj pilgrims staying in Saudi Arabia, appealed them to offer special prayers for integrity of the country, peace, stability and prosperity of the people. Pervez Khattak also asked the well-to-dos to look in their surroundings and do not forget the poor and helpless people and share their Eid joys with them that is the real philosophy of Eid-ul-Azha, he concluded.
