I just sent this email to American Airlines: Hi, Our baggage arrived in Miami on time. However, there is a big problem at Belize International Airport. Thieves are going through the checked baggage once it has been checked in at the American Airlines counter. My wife had her dress jewelry stolen. I realize that this should never have been placed in checked baggage and of course I am not trying to claim any compensation. At the same time there is no way that baggage handlers or security personnel at Belize International Airport should be allowed to handle baggage without being under video monitoring. Please be aware that this is a big problem in Belize, its a frequent occurrence and is unacceptable in the modern age of high security and otherwise reliable service. Anything you as an airline can do to prevent future occurrences would be appreciated by all travelers. Thanks for your kind and urgent consideration in this matter. Best Wishes Chris Allnatt
