I just spent 45 minutes of my life on the phone with quite possibly the worlds WORST company for Service - AKA Mediacom Cable. My internet has been down since last night, I did all the troubleshooting I could at home, called them once already and the automated system went through troubleshooting (which didnt work). Then I called back, held on for 20 minutes for a representative. Finally get a rep who barely speaks English (dont give me crap about saying it - it is what it is at this point). She was unable to get my signal working, then schedules an appointment for a tech to Come by and fix my service, and then tells me the next available appointment is AUGUST 7TH. At that point, I went ballistic. More than a week for service is completely UNACCEPTABLE. I asked to speak with a supervisor, which I dont think is unreasonable considering I pay Mediacom $160+ per month for internet, cable TV including all available HD channels and tons of pay channels like HBO/Showtime and DVR service. The representative refused to put a supervisor on the line! She said they were looking at the same schedule and wouldnt be able to give a date earlier than August 7th for service. I told the rep that I understand English, and I know what youre saying, however as a customer if I request a supervisor, I should be connected to one without having to beg. While I was holding for a supervisor, my internet mysteriously started working again. I am still soooooo ticked off! I loathe Mediacom, but theyre my only option here. We cant have satellite (God I wish DirectTV was an option!) because there is not a line of sight here due to condo buildings and beach houses. What a day to be out of Nexium is all I can say. Do you also experience problems with your cable company?!?!?!
