I just spent the last five hours reading Elliots manifesto at the following link. Its some of the most disturbing stuff Ive ever read, due largely to the humanity that permeates it, and Elliots own psychological suffering, and how many young men have suffered similar things (though perhaps not always at Eliots unrelenting level of pain), including myself to some degree, when I was around 20. I think Elliots relatively high level of intelligence, as exhibited in his manifesto (coupled perhaps with a genetic flaw imparting psychosis?), blinded him to his own subjectivity so that he couldnt see his painful situation objectively, giving him the illusion that he had no choice but to enact his bloody, psychotic revenge on the world.
