I just want the voters to know what kind of attitude that their current State Legislature has. Tonight as Marjorie and I were venturing around talking to people at the Long Creek VFD dinner, we stopped out on the porch to talk with some folks and Mr. Faison cuts the corner and Marjorie says heres your State Representative now, why dont you ask him about the bad bills he has passed and his reply was thats some good stuff referring to the bills that he has passed. Can you tell me what is good about the bills he has implemented or voted on? 1. HB 937 which he co-sponsored prohibits the Medicaid expansion and ultimately ensures that 400,000 people will die from not being able to get the proper care that they need. 2. SB 16 is the Voter ID law in which he did not vote on, that really shows how much he cares for his constituents, this bill disenfranchised 130,000 voters who are veterans, senior citizens and college students. 3. SB 1528 is a bill that amends requirements to Teachers Tenure which ties one test to the tenure untimely stripping of this if the children do not pass the test. All kids do not learn the same and therefore this is not fair. 4. SB 113 It replaces collective bargaining between the teachers’ union and school boards with non-binding “collaborative conferencing,” stripping the TEA of most of its power. Mr. Faison does not care about his voters. He has hurt many people with the bills that he has voted on and co-sponsored. Its time to wake up and see him for what he really is.
