I just want to clarify a few things in response to yesterdays news. The not guilty plea was expected and we will except and follow the court proceedings with dignity, strength and hope that justice is served for my beautiful son Joshua. I do not condone the outbursts that took place in the court and throughout the city centre but the level of disrespect, contempt and provocation that took place towards me, my family and my sons friends was unexpected and totally shocking. Unfortunately due to the high level of emotion regarding my sons death the response to this disrespect was understandable and I respect all of my sons friends for leaving court calmly and going home. The people that tried their hardest to provoke through verbal abuse, laughter and violence failed as no one was arrested, no one was hurt and the situation ended quickly contrary to press reports. The police handled the situation professionally and respected the high level of emotion that was present. We need to learn from yesterday hold our heads high and focus on the coming months. Love and respect to all those with me in person yesterday and those that held me in their thoughts ♥
