I just want to encourage someone today.When Jesus went to Calvary and died,He died for everything that we need in our lifetimes. Salvation is what we most often, and rightly so, claim as our own because of His death. But everything and anything that has to do with you and me was included in that sacrifice. It could be mentally, physically, socially, relationally, economically, etc. needs that we have. God sent Jesus to die for it all. The law of Moses couldnt do this. But the blood of a perfect man could. Jesus is that man. Jesus hung on the cross and said It is finished and then he died. God created the complex human being and He has provided through the death of His son, Jesus, everything we will ever need. If we can pray for it then it has been provided for us. Some of humanity accepts Jesus and the salvation purchased by His blood sacrifice. Very few Christians live the abundant life though.This year my prayer for the church world is that we can see and understand that God cares for the whole person and we will give Him everything that concerns us to care for and provide for. That we will learn to lean upon Him more and more and to trust Him with more and more of ourselves. Lets not hold back anything anymore. Give it all to God through Jesus Christ and stand back and see God do marvelous things when we have faith in Him to do so. God is a big God. Dare to believe big this new year. God cares about even the smallest concern we have as well as the largest concern. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you and counsel you to bring glory to Jesus in all of your prayers and requests. He will. You will begin to see burdens lifted and prayers answered. Its not what we do. Its where our faith is placed. In whom our faith is placed. He is the one who moves mountains and makes crooked ways straight. Highways low. Satans job is to blind us but the Holy Spirit is to lead us. Take His hand and let Him lead you where Jesus is. Then our eyes will be opened and we will see His glory.
