I just want to point out that in Columbus, Rep. Fortenberry said the exact same thing when asked. This is not an error on the part of representatives, but a deliberate attempt to mislead the people. Thanks to Bryan Baumgart for the remainder of this post. URGENT!!! I just received word that when Sen. Johanns was just asked in Columbus about defunding obamacare, he claimed that the ACA bill anticipated this move so nothing would change anyway because funding is in the law. This simply isn’t true, but if he really believes such it explains why he hasn’t joined Sen. Fischer and the others in pledging not to support funding obamacare in the upcoming CR. Because the bill’s writers anticipated the states setting up their own exchanges, the bill provided federal funding only for exchanges implemented by the states. Because most states refused to implement them and deferred to the feds, obamacare couldn’t be implemented. You see, no money was appropriated for federal exchanges. That’s why obama bribed and threatened the states in an attempt to get them to play ball. Governor Heineman and the majority of other states refused. Obama then extended the deadline, because he knew full well that obamacare couldn’t be implemented without the states doing it themselves. It comes down to this folks! We must keep funding away so we can start over and do this right. Please call Sen. Johanns and your Congressman and ask them not to support any Continuing Resolution that includes funding for obamacare. It will NOT shut down the government. A CR can be passed that fund government but not obamacare. That leaves the decision to accept it or shut down government on obama’s shoulders. We won’t get another shot at this. The current CR expires on Sept. 30th and obamacare goes into effect the next day. THIS IS IT!!! Call TODAY!!! The only way obamacare survives is if some Republicans vote to fund it!
