I just want to put this out there....my previous post was NOT in anyway an attempt to exploit the death of Robin Williams for my own gain and I am incredibly saddened that someone has chosen to see it this way. I am a spokesperson for youth mental health, because I have been there. Most of my music is about struggles with depression. I have been told my music has meant a lot to people who have, and continue to suffer from this illness. I want my music to HELP people. I want people to be aware of how those with depression feel. The hopelessness, the sadness, the low self esteem. I want people to understand what myself, Robin Williams and so many others have suffered with. If one person listens to one of my songs and it helps them to understand, even just a little, how debilitating this illness is, or brings awareness to this illness and what Robin Williams endured then I feel I have done the right thing. I am standing up to speak about mental health through my music along side of Robin Williams, I pay tribute to him and hope my music honours him and what he has gone through.
