I just want to say that I know I started a shit-storm by calling out the female ratio of Maestro in the past week. Im glad I did because I think it made many people aware of how easily women can disappear from stage. MAINLY I hope our female imps see that if they dont sign up, they obviously cant get cast. Its not all on Marc (or whoever is casting Maestro) to pull out 6 women a week from a magical hat. If there are aspects about Maestro that are preventing women from signing up, then they should be voiced in a private email to Jessica/Marc. Gender equality is important. Ill say that publicly and from the rooftops again and again. Gender equality does not equal a weaker show, but rather a stronger show and a stronger community.
