Nu Chilly given birth name Wally Bobb started singing with local drumming groups in the Gambia, in particular a group called Roots Calypso in Bakau his home town , where he sang lead vocal for 5 years before travelling to Europe in 1995.Nu Chilly lives in England and he also speaks and French also a singer,performing artist and song writer. travelling back to the Gambia, he met members of the Suns of Light who motivated him to produce music with passion. He then studied music Basic Knowledge at The Hi-tec Sunland Music School in year 2003 in the Gambia which greatly helped him with his quest. After the music course, Nu Chilly released a single called Nu Chilly Rise. It was a hit in the Gambia and beyond for a long time and in which he is also featuring Chuck Fenda in his up coming 18 track album, and as a result he was signed by Hakim of the Suns of Light with whom he recorded his part of his Album and other producers around the world like Musically minded production int . Album call By The Rivers of Gambia. Nu Chillys famed single Rise rose to a higher level after it received the blessing of a conventional video shoot. Shot on the recent internationally acclaimed high standard music video format Green Screen, the cultural roots reggae international stars video clips meets all classical criteria for wider broadcast in big television stations. Yanks, in his czonex emblem, created the script, story board, shot and edited the clips. Nu Chilly, aims to release his debut album, By The Rivers of Gambia in 2011 and has shot the video of the title track of the Album which will soon be officially released ., which was shot on the same conventional green screen format. He is becoming more and more international with the help of strong promotion all over Europe and working with the Movement , who first signed him on a compilation in the UK. Nu Chilly is now based in the UK where he is promoting his first album By The Rivers of Gambia and working as a performing artist with strong global promotion and a good fan base.
